Interest rates remained unchanged Wednesday, as the Federal Reserve adjourned its November meeting. Did anyone really notice, or were we all pulling our hair out trying to decide who was winning the election and how the hell that might effect the markets? Probably a bit of both, but leaning toward the latter. Or maybe you were just dreaming of the Cubbies finally clinching a World Series after a 108-year drought-- that's ok, we get it.
The continued uncertainty surrounding the election, however interesting, overshadowed a heavy day for tech and media earnings that included Time Warner (TWX) , Alibaba (BABA) , Etsy (ETSY) and Action Alerts PLUS holding Facebook (FB) , which got hammered in after-hours trading as the company said 2017 would be a year of "aggressive investment year" and it said it anticipated its ad revenue could "come down meaningfully" after mid 2017.
So while the markets moved lower as political uncertainty kept investors on edge, and sports fans in Cleveland and Chicago contemplate the fates of their baseball franchises tonight, TheStreet and its properties were busy digging up investment ideas to help you cut through the noise.
