"Silicon Valley is flooded with many on-demand startups, but we found Bimpies to have the most agile and functional system that allows us to accomplish what we hoped to do in the shortest amount of time," says Dr. Tam Nguyen. During this stage of the program, Anthem Blue Cross intends to communicate with its members to use the Bimpies mobile app should urgent care needs arise. Members would be able to access the location-services enabled app on a mobile device to find the nearest urgent care center and notify the facility that they are on the way. "This will cut down the wait time for patients as doctors will know ahead of time who is arriving and when they are arriving, allowing doctors to see the patient as soon as they enter the door," says John Chang, Founder and CEO of Bimpies, Inc. David Nolan, General Manager of Medicare and MediCal Services for California of Anthem Blue Cross says, "We are very supportive of this application and look forward to its providing a better health care option to our members." By also partnering with a variety of medical professionals in the Bay Area. PosiMed Venture and Bimpies, Inc. intends to empower patients with more choices and the best care possible at faster than traditional scheduling methods. "I hope to use my medical experience in conjunction with the latest technologies to better serve the community in which I work everyday ," says Dr. Tam Nguyen. The regional program will be rolled out in the following weeks with Anthem Blue Cross. The success of the program will be determined by many factors, but the key factor will be the amount of time saved by members across the region. If the program is successful, PosiMed Venture and Bimpies, Inc. would be able to introduce the service to other markets throughout California. About Bimpies, Inc.
