Gramercy Property Trust (NYSE:GPT) announced today the appointment of Nicholas L. Pell as Chief Investment Officer. Previously, Mr. Pell was a Managing Director with Gramercy. His appointment is effective immediately. Mr. Pell brings over 9 years of experience of investing in real estate assets in markets across the United States and Canada. He joined Gramercy as part of the new management team recruited in 2012 and has led Gramercy's Investments team over that tenure. Since joining, his Investments team has closed more than 100 separate real estate transactions totaling approximately $3.0 billion and Mr. Pell has been instrumental in growing Gramercy into a market leader in the industrial net lease space. Before joining Gramercy in July 2012, Mr. Pell was a Director in the Investment Department at W. P. Carey. Prior to joining W. P. Carey, Mr. Pell was a Director of Business Development at Sony Pictures Entertainment and an analyst at J.P. Morgan & Co.
