Barbara is a Professor at Del Mar College. Founded in 1935, Del Mar College offers various Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees, enhanced skills certificates, certificates of achievement and marketable skills achievement (MSA) awards across over 140 disciplines and fields. An esteemed educator with over fifty years of experience, Barbara became interested in science and technology while working for a mathematical research lab. It was her then boss who told her she would excel in computer programming and Barbara has been successful ever since. Throughout the years, she has gained a reputation at Del Mar College as an intelligent, helpful professor and mentor. With her expertise in computer science, gaming, geographic information programs and programming, Barbara was inducted into the WomenTech Hall of Fame in 2013 and earned the Outstanding Women Educator of the Year award in 2014. A member of the Association for University Professors, Barbara is involved with the Christian Women's Job Corps and the Travis Baptist Church. She holds a Master of Science from Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing her Doctorate.
