Arkansas First To Launch Official Government App For Apple TV

Services from Arkansas state and local government are coming to a big screen near you, thanks to a new Gov2Go Apple TV app from the Information Network of Arkansas (INA). Gov2Go is the first official government app available for Apple TV.

"With the launch of Gov2Go for Apple TV, in addition to our release of the first Apple Watch app for government, we are harnessing the power of new consumer technology to bring government to the people of Arkansas where they are, on devices they use every day," INA Board Chair and Arkansas Secretary of State Mark Martin said. "What's unique about this latest innovation is that Arkansans preparing to vote in the general election can use Gov2Go to get personalized voting information on their TVs, including reminders about when and where to cast their vote."

Gov2Go is the nation's first digital government assistant - delivering personalized government interactions to more than 240,000 Arkansans through their computers, mobile devices, Apple Watches, and now Apple TVs. Based on input from users, Gov2Go proactively brings relevant government services and information to citizens, while keeping track of important government deadlines such as voter registration, property tax payments, car tag renewals, and property assessments.

Nationally recognized for technological innovation, Gov2Go was awarded the NASCIO 2016 State IT Recognition Award, StateScoop 50 State Innovation of the Year in 2016, top six finalist in the mobile category of the 2016 GCN dig IT Awards, and top eight finalist in the American Council of Technology's Industry Advisory Council (ACT/IAC) 2016 Igniting Innovation Award Challenge.
