Accenture (NYSE:ACN) today announced that BP has extended an agreement by two years for Accenture to serve as its global provider of finance and accounting (F&A) business process services through 2021. Under the agreement, which was last updated in 2012, Accenture will provide BP with F&A operations services, including purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, hydrocarbon (oil and gas) value chain accounting, as well as procurement services. Accenture will apply intelligent automation and advanced analytics capabilities, coupled with its industry experience, to drive continued efficiency and productivity improvements.
