Netro ( NTRO), makers of wireless communications access equipment, was down 18.8% in midafternoon after warning it will post a greater than-expected first-quarter loss. Street estimates were for the company to lose 11 cents a share.

Netro said drop was due to economic conditions resulting in a drop-off in orders, and the cancellation of orders by Lucent ( LU). Netro said Lucent will constitute about 50% of first-quarter revenue, vs. 85% in the fourth quarter of 2000.
