Finally, McDonald's (MCD) is cleaning up its ingredient act in effort to appease longtime critics of its fast-food.
Here are the three biggest changes the Golden Arches unveiled on Monday.
1. Bye-bye preservatives.
McDonald's has officially removed artificial preservatives from its Chicken McNuggets after testing the new ingredient profile at 140 restaurants in April.
The company added that its pork sausage patties and omelet-style eggs also now have no artificial preservatives.
This could make a sausage Egg McMuffin seem a little bit healthier.
2. "See ya!" to high-fructose corn syrup-filled buns.
McDonald's will roll out buns this month that no longer contain high-fructose corn syrup.
That's good news for occasional Big Mac eaters -- just don't wash it down with a soda, which still contains high-fructose corn syrup.
