For the ninth consecutive year, NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE:NRG) employees participated in volunteer projects for non-profit organizations around the country as part of NRG's annual Global Giving Week. Reflecting their desire to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work, from May 16-20, more than 1,200 NRG employees across 18 states volunteered nearly 5,000 hours, serving more than 200 charities and nonprofits and donating nearly $100,000 to charitable causes.
