"The award from the LEEP Campaign validates the value provided by the Lumewave by Echelon wireless lighting control system."LEEP Campaign The Lighting Energy Efficiency in Parking (LEEP) Campaign offers free guidance and recognition to facility owners interested in implementing energy-efficient lighting solutions in their parking facilities. The Campaign is organized by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International, the Green Parking Council, the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the International Parking Institute (IPI). The Department of Energy is the campaign's technical advisor. According to LEEP, participation in the Phase 2 LEEP Campaign awards competition was very strong, across 17 categories. Presenting the awards were Henry Chamberlain, president and chief operating officer of BOMA International, and Paul Wessel, executive director of the Green Parking Council. The LEEP Campaign awards recognize sites that have made a significant effort toward the LEEP Campaign's goal of achieving over 470 million square feet of parking facility space that uses roughly one-third less energy by March 14, 2015, than the U.S. ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers) standard 90.1-2010 requires.
