NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Anyone who has looked into the price of attending college can agree that it is not cheap. Everything from application fees to tuition fees raise the costs higher and higher, and that's before students have to pay for books, transportation and anything else they may need throughout the year.
For students choosing to live on campus, there is an entirely separate fee that must be considered: room and board.
Based on data collected by The College Board, we have identified the 25 colleges where campus housing is the most expensive.
"Room and board" is defined as a place to stay with meals provided and included in the price. Since colleges vary in their size and availability of on-campus housing, the charges have been weighted by the number of undergraduates at each institution who are living in campus housing.
