Time Warner Cable News NY1 (TWC News NY1) and Ford Lincoln of Queens today announced they will recognize 25 high school students who excel in academics, athletics, and the community for the 16 th Scholar Athlete of the Week luncheon, on June 26 th at 11:00 a.m. at the New York Stock Exchange. In addition, New York Knicks legend John Starks will be in attendance to help honor the award winners. The Ford Lincoln of Queens NY1 Scholar Athlete award recognizes high school students who successfully combine academics and athletics with positive achievements in the community. Profiles featuring students from areas throughout the five boroughs were featured on TWC News NY1 from December 2014 through June 2015. To be eligible for the honors, the students must participate in varsity athletics, extra-curricular activities and/or their local community, as well as have an excellent academic record.
