Nexus Gold CEO Peter Berdusco on 'Elephant Hunting' in Nevada

Peter Berdusco, president and CEO of Nexus Gold (TSXV: NXS), recently spoke with the Investing News Network about Nexus' Walker Ridge project in Nevada and what the company has been up to lately.

According to the CEO, Nexus is looking for a Carlin-style deposit within the Independence/Jerritt Canyon Gold Trend in Northeastern Nevada. "These deposits generally are very large in nature. The term that we use is elephant hunting," he said.

Certainly, the area has shown plenty of potential already. Berdusco noted that Walker Ridge is just 5 miles north of the deposits that make up Veris Gold's (OTCMKTS: YNGFF) Jerrit Canyon mine, which has produced over 11 million ounces historically, and currently has reserves of just under 4 million ounces. Meanwhile, 1.2 miles to the north is the Big Springs deposit, currently held by Anova Metals (ASX:AWV).

"We're on trend. We're in the right spot," he said. "These are large deposits. These are deposits that warrant the expenditure to go in and to drill."

Berdusco stated that Nexus will be drilling this summer, so investors will have plenty to watch out for. Check out the video above for more of what the CEO had to say.
