Chevron (CVX) was upgraded to buy from hold by Societe Generale, which cited valuation, based on a 12-month price target of $115. Chevron also offers an attractive 4.3% dividend yield, Societe Generale said.

Devon Energy (DVN) was downgraded to perform from outperform by Oppenheimer, which said that earnings will likely fall in 2016, as hedging gains decline.

Questar (STR) was upgraded to buy by Jefferies, which said the stock has lagged its peers and the company is attractively valued, based on a $25 price target.

Southwest Gas (SWX) was upgraded to buy by Jefferies, which set a 12-month price target of $60. The stock has lagged its peers, but profit should recover in the second half of the year, Jefferies said.
