GoPro (GPRO) Stock Higher on Latest Camera Launch

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of GoPro Inc. (GPRO) are gaining by 4.35% to $57.87 in early afternoon trading on Monday, as the mounted and wearable camera maker announced the availability of its new Hero+ LCD camera, which is $100 less than its Hero4Silver model.

The camera includes a touch display and a new in camera video trimming feature.

"HERO+ LCD illustrates that even as we push the limits of life capture with bleeding-edge devices like the HERO4 Black, we're also focused on delivering accessible, high-quality capture solutions to anyone wanting to GoPro," company CEO Nick Woodman said in a statement announcing the device.

Hero+ LCD is being priced at $299.99 and will be available in the U.S on June 6 and internationally on July 12.
