Bojangles (BOJA) Stock Shines in Trading Debut

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Bojangles (BOJA) closed at $23.75 in its first trading session Friday, after making its debut on the Nasdaq this morning.

Shares opened at $27 apiece after the company priced its shares at $19 each on Thursday.

The chicken and biscuits chain raised $147 million in its initial public offering, following the success of other restaurant IPOs including Shake Shack (SHAK).

Bojangles makes 80% of its revenue by drive-thru and carry-out orders, according to Yahoo! Finance.

Shares of Bojangles are climbing higher by 2.11% to $24.25 in after-hours trading.

About 11.9 million shares exchanged hands as of 4:38 p.m. ET today.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Bojangles operates 622 restaurants primarily in the Southeast, with nearly two-thirds of its restaurants located in the Carolinas.
