AOL announced today the official launch of Point Lead, a unique sports video experience available on AOL.com/2pointlead. 2 Point Lead goes beyond the news and offers a mobile-first, humorous take on the world of sports with social buzz in mind. Viewers can expect sports and satire combined like never before, featuring famous comedians and professional athletes in comedy sketches, interviews and man-on-the-street clips.

Every day at 2 p.m. EST, 2 Point Lead will spotlight the humor in sports culture and appeal to a younger generation of sports fans.

" 2 Point Lead is part of our continued focus to bring innovative sports content to AOL across devices," said Dermot McCormack, President of AOL Video and AOL Studios. " 2 Point Lead gives us the opportunity to engage with our social media base and the robust conversations that are happening around sports and create a show that is uniquely our own."

2 Point Lead will also introduce popular comedian Yannis Pappas as the host, known for his Comedy Central special, as the former co-host of MSG's sports fan show, "The Bracket," and for his online characters Mr. Panos and Maurica. Pappas tours the world as a stand-up comedian and will bring his strong mix of sports knowledge and comedy to 2 Point Lead.

"As a stand-up comedian, I know that sports and comedy work so well together," said host Yannis Pappas. "Sports fans have been waiting for something like 2 Point Lead, and I'm excited to bring them a totally new type of sports experience - one that will surprise and entertain them every single day."

In addition, the show will feature Nick Creegan, winner of #AOLSportsSearch last fall. Utilizing Creegan's strong reporting skills, he will be featured in various interviews and segments for 2 Point Lead.

2 Point Lead will be available on AOL.com, AOL's mobile application and its 16 OTT integrations.
