NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of King Digital Entertainment PLC (KING) closed higher by 7.27% to $15.05 on very heavy trading volume Thursday after the interactive entertainment company released its game Candy Crush Soda Saga on iOS and Android platforms in its global debut on Tuesday.
The company added that this next installment introduces entertaining features for players who love the gameplay and story of the original game Candy Crush Saga.
Mobile gaming company King went public in March and plans to launch non-puzzle casual games in 2015 to diversify into genres outside casual games.

About 6.62 million shares of King traded hands by the end of regular trading session today, compared to its average trading volume of about 1.98 million shares a day.
