Quarterbacks will dictate how your fantasy football team fares in Week 11 of the NFL season, according to Jim Cramer.
In the spotlight will be Green Bay Packers (6-3) quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who Cramer predicts is going to have a fantastic game at home when his team faces the Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) on Sunday. He says anyone that goes up against Rodgers or Denver Broncos (7-2) quarterback Peyton Manning will be in trouble. However, Cramer believes this weekend we'll see a Manning that looks different from the one we've seen all season when the Broncos take on the St. Louis Rams (3-6).
"People don't realize the St. Louis D has been a quarterback stopper," he said. "I think Peyton is going to look a little bit more like the way he did in the Super Bowl this weekend. It's going to surprise people who want to own Peyton this weekend. Of course you have to play him. To not play Peyton is ridiculous."
So with hot commodities like Rodgers and Manning already taken across fantasy leagues, who should fantasy owners look to pick up off the waiver wires to beef up their teams? Here are Jim Cramer's top waiver wire picks for Week 11.
QUARTERBACK: RYAN MALLETT
The Houston Texans (4-5) announced Ryan Fitzpatrick will be benched, giving Ryan Mallett his first start against the Cleveland Browns (6-3) on Sunday.
Cramer says: "I think the Texans were bad because of Fitz. Let's see what happens with a real quarterback."
RUNNING BACK: SHANE VEREEN
New England Patriot (7-2) Shane Vereen gained 29 rushing yards on 11 carries in his team's Week 9 win over the Denver Broncos, hauling in five passes in the game for 38 yards and scored one touchdown.
Cramer says: "This is a very complicated thing. I do think that Sproles is for real, but I think Vereen gets 20. Vereen's avail because a lot of people have given up on him."
WIDE RECEIVER: MARKUS WHEATON
Markus Wheaton caught four passes for 41 yards in the Pittsburgh Steelers' (6-4) Week 10 loss to the New York Jets (2-8).
Cramer says: "A complicated issue because this Martavis Bryant is good but Wheaton has been dropped by a lot of people. I think that's a mistake -- I think Ben's going to target him."
TIGHT END: BRENT CELEK
Brent Celek caught five passes for 116 yards in the Philadelphia Eagles' Week 10 win over the Carolina Panthers (3-6-1).
Cramer says: "Here's an odd one -- Celek is gettin' game. You drop Ertz, you play Celek."
KICKER: CALEB STURGIS
Caleb Sturgis kicked three field goals for the Miami Dolphins (5-4), which lost to the Detroit Lions (7-2) in Week 10.
Cramer says: "You gotta play him tonight."
DEFENSE: MINNESOTA VIKINGS
The Vikings, which were on bye during Week 10, are coming off a win over the Washington Redskins (3-6) in Week 9.
Cramer says: "Vikings D -- very, very good. Do not play the Eagles D because they're going up against Green Bay, which is very difficult. I like Cleveland's D for the rest of the season."
