NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (MDRX) were falling 14.1% to $11.64 Friday after the healthcare software company missed analysts' estimates for earnings and revenue in the third quarter and a drop in bookings for the quarter.
Allscripts reported earnings of 6 cents a share for the third quarter, 4 cents below the 10 cents a share analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research. Revenue grew 4.6% year over year to $345.5 million for the third quarter, below analysts' estimates of $354.6 million.
The company said that bookings fell 5% year over year to $223 million in the third quarter. The drop in bookings for the quarter was due to "a significant agreement for expanded software, services and managed services with PIH Health," Allscripts said.
