Dish Network (DISH) Stock Declines Today After Subscriber Loses Grew in Third Quarter

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Dish Network (DISH) shares are down 3.46% to $61.60 in early market trading on Tuesday following the release of the satellite television and Internet service provider's third quarter earnings results.

The company reported that it lost 12,000 subscribers during the quarter due to what it said was increased competition from rivals offering discounts and special deals.

Dish Network reported earnings of 31 cents per diluted share on an adjusted basis, 8 cents short of analysts expectations for the period.

Revenue for the quarter rose 4.8% over the previous year to $3.68 billion, just shy of analysts $3.69 billion estimates.
