The sharp spike higher in Tekmira trading come right after the Texas hospital treating Duncan announced his death.

Tekmira is one of a handful of companies with experimental ebola therapies that have been used on patients stricken with the deadly virus during this recent outbreak. Traders have turned speculating in ebola stocks into a blood sport of sorts. Tekmira shares shot up because a rival drug from Chimerix (CMRX - Get Report) was used to treat Duncan.
