For the third year in a row, Great Place to Work ® named Pinnacle Financial Partners one of the best workplaces in the United States. The 2014 Best Small & Medium Workplaces list was published online today in FORTUNE.

Pinnacle ranked No. 5 out of 25 on the medium-sized list, which recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures. Now in its 11th year, the competition is divided into two categories: small (50-250 employees) and medium (251-999 employees).

“Creating an engaging work environment is a crucial part of our business model, so it’s gratifying that we are among the best not just in our markets, but nationwide,” said Terry Turner, Pinnacle’s president and CEO. “We have found that building a great place to work is the only way to attract the best financial services professionals who give exceptional service to our clients.”

Pinnacle was selected among hundreds of great places to work across the country. Applicant companies opt to participate in the selection process, which is based primarily on an employee survey that measures engagement and also includes an in-depth questionnaire about benefits programs and company practices. Great Place to Work ® evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions of a great workplace: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
