Why American Airlines (AAL) Stock Is Falling Today

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- American Airlines (AAL) shares are down 0.5% to $38.04 on Tuesday after reporting flat year-over-year traffic in August.

The world's largest airline based on traffic reported a 1.6% decline in traffic in the Atlantic region and a 1.9% decline in the Latin American region.

The airliner's lone bright spot was the Pacific region which experienced a 12% increase over the previous year.
