NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Silicon Graphics (SGI) are up 8.35% to $9.73 in morning trading after the company's rating was raised to 'buy' from 'neutral' by analysts at D.A. Davidson & Co.

The firm upgraded the technical computing company based on valuation and its SAP high-performance analytic appliance opportunity.

D.A. Davidson increased its price target to $12, up from its previous $10.
