Why GT Advanced Technologies (GTAT) Stock Is Gaining Today

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- GT Advanced Technologies (GTAT)GTAT was gaining 4.3% to $18.10 Monday following a report from The Guardian that Apple's (AAPL)AAPL iPhone 6 is going into large-scale production this month.

The new, larger iPhones will reportedly use GT Advanced's sapphire crystal cover glass. Apple is expected to announce the next generation of iPhones on Sept. 9.
