One Factor Driving Nokia (NOK) Stock Up Today

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Nokia  (NOK) rose Thursday after the communications company's network division, Nokia Solutions and Networks, signed a deal with Vodafone's  (VOD) New Zealand branch to install a 700 MHz-based LTE network.

The deal's financial terms have not been disclosed. The agreement comes after a five-year agreement between Nokia Solutions and Networks and telecommunications company Telenor, under which the former will provide the latter with radio access equipment and accomplished services. The two sides inked the deal in May.

The stock was up 0.52% to $7.78 at 10:43 a.m.
