Why Prudential (PUK) Stock Is Up Today

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Prudential Plc (PUK) are up 3.02% to $46.06 after the London-based financial services company said it will increase its dividend. 

The company plans to increases its 2014 interim dividend 15% to 18 cents per a share from the same period last year. The interim dividend is payable September 25 for certain shareholders and in early October for others.

Prudential’s first half operating profit increased 17%.
