NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Barnes & Noble (BKS) and Google (GOOGL) are partnering to take on Amazon.com (AMZN), and will focus on a service that Amazon has long dominated: the fast, cheap delivery of books, according to the New York Times.

Shares of Barnes & Noble are up 1.46% to $21.50 in pre-market trade.
