Why Synaptics (SYNA) Stock Is Climbing Today

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Synaptics Inc  (SYNA) are climbing 9.25% to $78.91 today after the technology company reported fiscal fourth quarter earnings of $1.46 per share, beating analysts' estimate of $1.42 per share.

Revenue for the second quarter was $314.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $305.1 million, a 37% increase.

The company said revenue growth came from the mobile division and thumbprint sensor technologies.
