Why Advent Software (ADVS) Stock Is Surging

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Advent Software  (ADVS) are surging 8.28% to $33.82 today to a six month high after posting upbeat second quarter results. 

The company reported non-GAAP net income for the latest second quarter of $20.3 million, or 38 cents per share, compared to $19.7 million, or 37 cents per share in the same quarter a year ago, and beating analyst expectations of 34 cents per share.

Second quarter revenue increased to $100.37 million from $96.12 million one year previous, while analysts expected revenue of $97.82 million for the quarter.
