President Bush has not quite acknowledged that the U.S. economy is in a recession, preferring to call it a “slow down.” But no matter what you call it, a recession or an economic slow down, it is not a good time to quit your job.

Still, if you’re planning on an early departure, don’t quit, get fired! That way you can reap the rewards of severance and unemployment.
