NEW YORK (MainStreet) – Travel is expensive enough as it is without having to spend a fortune on your luggage. So, why shell out the big bucks for a fancy leather suitcase when you can get a cheap one from Wal-Mart?
Today’s deal of the day at Wal-Mart is a three-piece luggage set consisting of a rolling carry-on suitcase, a shoulder tote, and a 10” travel kit. The retailer will also throw in a neck pillow – and not just any neck pillow, but a memory foam one – to sweeten the deal.
The best part, though, is that the rolling suitcase is small enough to meet airlines’ carry-on restrictions, which means you can avoid checked baggage fees (which are generally $15 or more each way). So, if you fly once and take this a carry-on instead of checking a bag, it has already paid for itself.
Now, the one caveat is that we can’t speak for the quality of the set – it appears to be a generic brand and there are no customer reviews that we can see. So, it’s always possible that it will fall apart after a few uses. But for $20, it’s worth the risk. Besides, the airline will probably lose your luggage anyway.
