The position: Social media marketing director for Scripps
Location: New York, N.Y.
Job duties: This person will handle social media and online marketing for Scripps's new digital business in the food and dining category. He or she will lead and execute social marketing strategies, and working with internal teams will drive the direction and development of social media marketing programs to expand this venture's web and mobile presence and grow its fan base. Responsible for tracking, analyzing and optimizing social marketing programs to understand performance/ROI and provide relevant reports. Will partner with legal teams to ensure all platform communications are in compliance.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field and five to seven years of online marketing experience, with at least two years of social media marketing experience preferred. Applicants must be active participants in major social media networks, and be extremely savvy about social media trends and innovations. Must have expertise involving the development and execution of customer acquisition and retention campaigns on social media platforms. Requires deep familiarity with social media, viral and word of mouth online marketing practices. Must have an understanding of the dynamics of ROI/metrics related to social media channels.
