The position: Design Engineer for Snap-On Equipment

Location: Conway, Arkansas

Job duties: Provides mechanical design and development of new products or product enhancements for the automotive equipment and industrial tools industry. Prepares thorough and accurate documentation for release to manufacturing and for internal product design records. Maintains an engineering notebook to document work activity in support of company's patent goals. Tests and validates products to assure product performance and quality. Develops or modifies manufacturing processes. Acquires an understanding of the company's products and their applications.

Requirements: Requires bachelor of science degree in engineering or mathematics with at least two years of experience in a design engineering environment. Must be proficient in the use of computers for design and testing, and ProE CAD experience is preferred. Requires up-to-date knowledge in mechanical design, and a basic understanding of complementary technical disciplines, particularly electronics. Requires excellent communication skills, good time management and organizational skills and strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Must be able to work with others, with minimal supervision.
