The position: Web editor and Web producer (Spanish) at UFC
Location: Las Vegas, Nev.
Job duties: Responsible for planning, developing, editing and coordinating production and publishing of original and compelling web content on UFCEspanol.com and related Spanish content for microsites, widgets and other products. Content includes video, TV schedules, news links, promotional materials and fighter bios. Assigns work to outside content providers and manages their work product. Leads overall Web strategy for the site and plans editorial features. Manages social networking efforts in Spanish, writes compelling show descriptions and works with public relations to create an interesting bio for each fighter. Manages and develops relationships with partner sites.
The company: UFC, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, is a major mixed martial arts sports association, formed in 2001 by Zuffa, LLC.
Requirements: Requires a degree in journalism, communication or related program, or equivalent work experience. Must have experience producing or editing a website. Applicants must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish, however, proficiency in Portuguese is a plus. This role requires familiarity with web content management as well as writing and editing. Must be able to set accurate project schedules and meet deadlines. Should have an understanding of web search technologies and metrics, and at least a basic working knowledge of HTML. An understanding of social media is strongly desired.
