The position: Pilot for the University of Notre Dame
Location: Based in South Bend, Ind.
Job duties: Will provide air transportation for Notre Dame officers, coaches and guests. Serves in the role of aircraft captain of the university aircraft and is responsible for ensuring safe travel. Will transport passengers to meetings, fundraisers, recruiting trips, alumni gatherings and other events. Flights will travel to locations throughout the U.S., Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. Responsible for overseeing and implementing safety and security programs. Will be expected to attend recurrent simulator training and monitor industry publications. Represents the university at various events and interacts with coaches, trustees, guests and airport personnel.
The company: The University of Notre Dame is an independent national Catholic university located in South Bend, Ind.
Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree and at least seven years of related experience. Must have experience in managing aircraft safety and security programs. Requires at least 2,500 hours of previous flying time. Applicants must have an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Rating and a First-Class Airman's Medical Certificate. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, as the job may involve frequent weekend and evening hours.
