Those who don’t have the funds to take in a sporting event or concert this summer may not be stuck at home. Ticket marketplace StubHub.com is giving away 10 “ultimate fan experiences” to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
The contest’s grand prize lets the winner create his or her own dream experience. To get an idea of what this might entail, you can take a look at the first experience StubHub is giving away. Cubs fans and/or baseball enthusiasts have until July 17 to enter to win a day at Wrigley Field where they will take batting practice with the team, eat lunch in the Stadium Club and throw out the first pitch at a game.
Interested entrants have until Sept. 10 to enter the grand prize sweepstakes so there is time to draft your idea of dream day - whether it’s sideline seats to the Super Bowl or backstage passes to a sold out Lady Gaga concert.
The other eight experiences put together by StubHub include: leading the University of Southern California football team onto the field to face Notre Dame, a VIP trip to Lollapalooza, a UFC Ultimate Fan experience, a Redskins Ultimate Fan experience, dream days at Yankee and Dodgers stadiums, a Mavericks all-access game night and an ESPN college football experience.
These prizes will be awarded as the events approach. The exact timeline of the giveaway is available on the website. To enter, you must submit a photo of your best fan experience to date, along with a caption explaining why you deserve the prize. All experiences will include travel accommodations if necessary.
Prospective ultimate fans must live in the U.S. and be 18 years or older. StubHub will be raffling off additional prizes (to be named later) on Oct. 10, 2010, to culminate its anniversary promotion.
