Those looking for a last minute Father’s Day gift should consider visiting their local T-Mobile (Stock Quote: DT) Saturday, June 19. The company announced that all phones in its stores will be free when you sign up for a family plan, which requires at least two users.
You can also receive a free phone for any line that you add to an existing plan. Single-user contracts can be converted to a family plan and existing family plans can be extended to take advantage of the offer. All interested consumers must sign up for a two-year contract with T-Mobile. Most T-Mobile locations will be opening on Saturday at 8 a.m.
All brands will be available in-stores while supplies last, including the newest smartphones from T-Mobile: the $180 myTouch 3G Slide, the touchscreen HTC HD2 and the Android-powered Garminfone, which normally retails for $200.
"For this very special day celebrating dad and the entire family, T-Mobile is thrilled to offer an industry-first promotion that helps families stay connected," Adrian Hurditch, vice president of marketing for T-Mobile USA, said in a press release. "This unprecedented event champions dad and helps families stick together with the latest phones, all for free."
The offer limits five lines per family; some phones will require a mail-in rebate. T-Mobile’s promotion is just in time for Father’s Day and, interestingly, the June 24 release of Apple’s (Stock Quote: AAPL) iPhone 4.
