The position: Manager of weight loss program development at Jenny Craig

Location: Carlsbad, Calif.

Job duties: Develops and manages many aspects of the weight loss program: assigned menus, program materials, training/site content and marketing materials. Will also oversee enrollment of clients with specialized health conditions. Serves as a nutrition resource for field staff and clients. Assists with online program content and scripts. Responsible for research related to nutrition, exercise and lifestyle strategies. Position requires constant contact and interaction with other company executives and departments, including food technology specialists, product development teams, operations/training managers and the director of corporate communications. Will oversee nutrition technicians and assist in the development of public relations materials and staff training resources.

Requirements: Requires a master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a registered dietician with the American Dietetic Association. Diabetes educator certification is preferred. Must have at least three years experience in the area of weight management and/or diabetes. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with health care professionals. Must have good basic math skills. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong presentation skills. Experience with Windows Office programs is important. Must be a good team player and have the ability to empathize with clients and show understanding for their concerns and goals.
