The position: Video game technical support

Job duties: Will help customers solve game-related technical support issues over the phone. Job involves identifying, troubleshooting and resolving customer problems and challenges, and walking the customer through the process on the phone.

The company: Alpine Access is a major outsourcer of call-center services using home-based agents. Alpine provides agents for a wide variety of client companies, including those in the retail, financial services and tourism industries.

Requirements: Must have experience with video games and game systems, excellent listening and problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Must be computer literate and able to navigate quickly through multiple screens. Requires a computer that's wired to a modem or router, a corded telephone headset with noise-canceling microphone, high-speed Internet connection and analog landline phone. Mute button and volume control are required on headset or phone. Must have Windows 7, XP or Vista and current anti-virus software, along with a firewall. Requires intermediate level of skill with Microsoft Windows systems and home networking set-ups. Candidates who are being considered for a job must pass a credit check and cannot have more than four negative credit incidents within the past four years.
