The position: Social media marketing manager for Barnes & Noble
Location: Sparta, N.J.
Job duties: Will play a lead role in the development and implementation of Barnes & Noble College Booksellers' social and digital media presence. Will lead and develop the company's social media content strategy, editorial content and community engagement. Will be required to monitor, analyze and report on the company's digital campaigns and oversee online community management. Will fully integrate offline activities into social media campaigns. Also responsible for producing editorial content, campaign strategies and calendars for the company's social media sites, blogs, text messaging and social media press releases. Will also train and support store managers on the implementation of local social media efforts. Will collaborate with merchandising, field management, store managers and other marketing groups.
The company: Barnes & Noble College Booksellers is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Barnes & Noble (Stock Quote: BKS) that operates more than 600 college bookstores across the U.S.
Requirements: Must have college degree, seven years of related experience and a demonstrated professional track record of leading social media strategy, content and initiatives for a major consumer brand. Expertise in retailing and/or youth marketing is preferred. Must be very well-versed in the use of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other social media sites.
