Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide’s (Stock Quote: HOT) Sheraton and Westin brands have put their ski and beach resorts in the United States (including Hawaii), Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean on sale after the holidays, offering up to $200 off the published rates.
The sale covers travel from Jan. 1 through April 30. If you’re interested, better hurry; the sale ends Wednesday, Dec. 2.
White Plains, N.Y.-based Starwood, the largest U.S. hotel and resort operator by number of guest rooms, is using the sale to stimulate demand, which is traditionally tepid after people blow their budgets on holiday spending.
Whether you like to acquire your sunburn on the slopes or on the sands, Westin and Sheraton are thinking of you. In Hawaii, the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, on Oahu, is offering rooms starting at $109, while in Honolulu’s popular Waikiki, the Sheraton is starting rooms beginning at $179. Deep in the heart of Texas, the Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio is offering rooms at $159 to $179 per night.
In wintery Blue Mountain, Ontario, the Westin Trillium House is putting rooms on sale from $129. At the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa, rooms on sale start at $99, according to the bargain-hunting site Travelzoo.
As usual with flash-sales, the best deals go to the swift, as rooms on sale typically fill up quickly. More information is available at Starwood's site or by phone at (866) 716-8147.
