United Airlines has launched a nationwide Labor Day fare sale across its extensive network for travel to U.S. cities.
Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 21, are good for economy class seats and have a 14-day advance sale requirement.
United (Stock Quote: UAUA), the nation’s no. 3 carrier by passenger traffic, is offering fares including Chicago-New York City starting at $89 one-way; Las Vegas-San Francisco, from $59 one-way; and Miami-Washington-Dulles, starting at $66 one-way.
There are (as always with air fare sales) some restrictions. Among them: Sale prices are good for travel on Sept. 1, 2, 5 and 6 and return travel is valid for Sept. 5, 6, 8 or 9. Labor Day itself, Monday, Sept. 7, is not included. Tickets must be paid for at the time of reservation on the airline’s Web site.
Do note that not all seats on the plane are covered by the sale, so travelers who move fast have a better chance of getting the lowest prices.
