In an effort to encourage folks to book Fall travel, Delta Air Lines (Stock Quote: DAL) is rolling out a nationwide fare sale, offering deals through Halloween and into November.
Delta, the world’s largest airline by passenger traffic after its merger with Northwest, is running the sale across its extensive domestic system.
The key to saving: Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 14.
Some sample fares include: Atlanta to Orlando one-way for $59 based on a round-trip purchase before added taxes and fees; Memphis to San Diego $164 one-way, also with a round-trip purchase; New York JFK to Ft. Lauderdale $79 on the same basis.
As always with air fare sales, the lowest prices don’t apply to all seats on the airplane and cheap seats can sell fast. More fine-print: This sale require a 21-day advance purchase and there are blackout dates, which vary according to the destination. A Saturday night stayover is required. Details are available on Delta’s Web site.
