Morning Deals: More Great Holiday Deals

NEW YORK (MainStreet) – If you haven’t finished your holiday shopping yet, here are a few last-minute deals to help you wrap things up.

If you’re thinking of upgrading to one of the new Nooks, Barnes & Noble is currently running a promotion that will give you a gift card in exchange for your old Nook model. When you trade in your first-generation Nook and buy any new Nook, the retailer will throw in a $50 gift card with your purchase. The deal is good with any new Nook, including the Nook Tablet, and will last until stores close on Christmas Eve.

The Gap just sent us an email that it’s taking an extra 40% off sale items in its stores. It’s not publicized on the Gap website and the deal isn’t good online, so we can’t tell you much as far as terms and conditions, but we can tell you that the sale is good through the end of the day only.

Gift cards are a good last-minute gift idea. Best Buy is currently offering a three-pack of $10 iTunes gift cards for $25.50, a savings of $4.50. It ships for free, but it obviously won’t arrive in time for Christmas, so there is fortunately free in-store pickup. A quick search shows that it’s available for same-day pickup at most stores.

It’s also not too late to snag a $50 iTunes gift card for just $40 at Wal-Mart, as MainStreet reported on Monday. Wal-Mart will email you the gift code upon purchase, and you can then send it as an e-card to your recipient. This is a limited-time offer and supplies are limited.
