The position: Research program officer for Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research
Location: New York, NY
Job duties: Works with research program scientists to provide data-driven recommendations for scientific strategic direction. Helps coordinate large meetings with external researchers, and tracks interactions with those researchers and key advisory groups. Furnishes reports on external research that will help guide foundation strategy.
The company: Founded in 2000, the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research is dedicated to research that will lead to advances and an eventual cure for Parkinson's disease.
Requirements: Requires a college degree in a scientific field, plus relevant experience in a fast-paced multitasking environment. Must be a team player who can adapt to shifting roles and responsibilities. Must have strong people management skills, plus excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Requires excellent computer proficiency and the ability to work both productively and proactively.
