The position: Organ transplant coordinator for Duke University
Location: Durham, North Carolina
Job duties: Coordinate organ transplants and provide care and follow-up throughout the entire process. Develop, support and educate nursing staff. Interpret research and publish data concerning current issues in transplantation to nursing staff and colleagues. Participate in transplant program planning and management within the health system. Advise referring physicians/nurses in the care of patients.

Requirements: A BSN is required while a master's degree in nursing is preferred. Applicants must have five years of nursing experience, with at least two years in transplant critical care, or three years of clinical nursing experience in transplant and critical care. This role requires a current North Carolina R.N. license. Applicants must have a background of effective communication with numerous physicians, organ procurement agencies, hospital staff and patients/patient families.
