NEW YORK (MainStreet) – The winter sales continue to come fast and furious as time runs out on 2010.
One promotion that caught our eye today was the Winter Sale at Nautica.com, where all sorts of outerwear, sweaters and other winter apparel are up for grabs. As we’ve previously reported, the days and weeks immediately following Christmas are rife with sales on winter clothing as the major retailers try to clear stock in anticipation of the spring season.
The site advertises that prices are “up to 40% off,” which often means most items are around 15% off and then one or two items meet the 40% threshold. But this sale seems legit, with many discounts in the 30% off range, and a few even going up to 50% (like this ribbed-knit Willamette sweater, marked down to $29.99 from $59.50).
On the women’s side the discounts don’t look as deep, but there are some gems to be found, like this plush fleece robe for $34.99 (marked down from $70). There are also children’s clothes, like this double-breasted boys’ Plymouth coat for $69.99 (originally $99.50). And there’s even some luggage on sale, like this four-piece luggage set for $319.99, marked all the way down from $1,180 (a savings of 73%, for those keeping score).
It’s not clear how long the sale will last, but act fast if you want your favorite items to be available in your size. If you order by the time the ball drops on New Year’s you can get free shipping on all orders more than $50.
