NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Sanmina  (SANM) are surging 8.95% to $22.34 in after-hours trading today following a strong third quarter earnings report that showed an increase in net income to $20.72 million, or 24 cents per share, up from $18.74 million, or 22 cents per share, a year ago.

Revenue for the manufacturing solutions company was $1.6 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.55 billion, up 8% year over year.
